Astrology is a scientific study of the apparent positions of celestial bodies. It is held to be useful in understanding, interpreting and organizing knowledge about reality and human existence on earth. Astrology as a subject is known as the science of the stars, which in detail explains our relationships, our place in the world and our contributions to it. It gives us insight into all aspects of life from our birth, changes which occur frequently in life, and finally death. Predictive Astrology which predicts future trends and developments, is mainly based on two methods. Astrological Transits and Astrological Progressions. In astrological transits, the ongoing movements of the planets are interpreted for their significance as they transit through space and the horoscope. In astrological progressions, the horoscope is progressed forward in time according to a certain set of methods. Indian and Western astrology share a common ancestry and are essentially both are similar in content. Both traditions focus on the casting of an astrological chart /horoscope , a representation of celestial entities, for an event based on the position of the Sun, Moon, and planets at the moment of the events.
