Thiruvananthapuram Quoting media reports, the information technology (IT) industry in Kerala has to get sensitised to Kerala’s psyche on job losses and the state, in turn, should come to terms with the peculiarities of the IT sector, V.K. Mathews, chief executive officer of the Technopark-based firm IBS, has said. He was interacting with a group of invited presspersons here recently. The IT industry should not be treated on a par with, say, the manufacturing industry or any other industrial enterprise. In the IT sector, getting and losing jobs was routine. If this was seen from a political angle instead of from a professional angle, the state was asking for trouble. This was a strong reason for keeping politics and trade unions out of IT companies.
