Hartal in Vilappilsala panchayat
A tense situation is prevailing at Vilappilsala after the garbage-laden trucks reached the area with full police protection amid strong protests raised by thousands of agitators including women and children. Later the police force was withdrawn temperorily.
The Congress party has called for a hartal in Vilappilsala panchayat Tuesday as a mark of protest against the brutal police action on the agitators on Monday. Party sources said that a panchayat member has been injured.
