Kannur airport to be operational by 2015
The first phase of the proposed international airport at Kannur would be completed by 2014, Kerala Excise Minister and in charge of the project, K Babu said.
The first flight would land at Kannur airport in 2015, he said after the decision taken at a meeting with Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (KINFRA) which decided to provide 645 acres to the project.
Tenders would be floated in April for the construction of the runway. The project, which was a flagship programme of the government, would be completed within the time schedule
