ABUBAKKAR   KAATHIYOLAM

 

Hearty Welcome to Shri Abubakkar Kaathiyolam to the Internet pages of Kerala's modern literary field. A special mention that has to be made at the beginning itself is, while Shri Abubakkar is well known in Kerala as a literary personality, abroad he is more famous as a  'firebrand' journalist. Apart from these he was a star in sports field as well. Our new guest of the day, doing quite well in modern literary field, was born at a place called Kotungalloor in Thrissoor district, Kerala in the year 1941. He excelled well in sports during his childhood. So, his studies were also completed in a physical education college.  Soon he started his career as a physical education Instructor in an Upper Primary School in Vemballoor. The interest that he developed in literature, since his youthful days, also began to flower in him by now. It is noticeable that his early literary creations depict themes related to excellence in sports.

  6. Arayannangalum Raajakumaariyum (Swans and Princess)

Rightfully he also held the responsibility   of being the editor of the first ever work in Malayalam describing the entire district viz.  " Kotungalloor Diary".

Respected Positions held:

  1. Chief Editor of the Malayalam publication from Gulf: " Gulf Naadham ".
  2. Chief  Editor of the  monthly magazine a hot favorite among Gulf Malayalees: "Gulf Kairali".

Major Award:

Mali Award from Bala Saithya Institute of Kerala state for " Hoja kaththakal".
