V.V. Ayyappan

( Kovilan)

 

Hearty welcome to Shri . Kovilan  to the internet pages  of   Kerala's modern literary  field. Shri Kovilan who  transformed   to become the pride of   Malayalam   language in Kerala  was   known as a senior officer in the national army during the British rule in India. Shri V.V Ayyappan who is  fondly  remembered  as  Kovilan by Malayalam literature  field,    was born on September 7th  in the year 1923    at a place called Kandaanisseri in Thrissur district. While his early education  was in the Kandaanisseri Excelsior school and  Nemmini Higher Elementary  school  his higher education was from the   Pavaratti  Sahitya Deepika   Sanskrit college. Once the basic `education was completed  he  joined in the  National Defence   Service.   He  served in the  Royal Indian Navy   and Core of Signals. While serving in  army he  earned a degree in Electronics In 1969 he retired from the Army service.
