Thushaaram is a homestay style holiday home located in Kuttikkanam in Idukki district of Kerala, India. It is a family owned vacation cottage, built in the middle of a plantation property spread across about 1 acre of land. It is located about 3 kilometres from Kuttikkanam. The only attraction when the family purchased the land was the nice landscape of the property with a small river in the boundary and the cool and calm climate of western Ghats .

Almost twenty years back a small rock home was constructed with two bed rooms , living area , a small kitchen and a small dining . The home served as a summer getaway for the family members .

The land and the cottage remained unoccupied for most part of the season and when someone reaches there to spend the vacation , the property will be filled with forest and the preparation of the home itself will take the whole vacation .

So the suggested plan was to do a full revamp of the property and keep the place engaged with visitors so that the place will be live and active throughout the year .

You may be aware that maintaining a summer home for an occasional family get-together or a casual visit of one or two days per year will be a costly affair for most of us .

Facilities
Thushaaram Holiday Home is a self-service villa located at Kuttikkanam. This is not a typical homestay where the owner of the property stays on the same property. At Thushaaram holiday home, you are given access to the full house to enjoy your vacation. This holiday cottage, originally developed by the owners as their vacation home, is built in the middle of plantation spread across about one acre of hillside land, on the shore of a small river.
